Public-sector organisations can now adopt AI in case handling in a safe, traceable and responsible way. Through a new strategic agreement, IT company ACOS integrates the Norwegian AI architecture from TellusR into its WebSak case system. The goal is to ensure efficiency gains and digital sovereignty in public administration.
While the debate about AI in the public sector often centres on risk and the fear of sharing sensitive data with foreign actors, ACOS is now taking a clear leadership role. The company delivers the WebSak case system to a long list of municipalities and public-sector organisations across the country.
Through an expanded strategic partnership, Norwegian technology provider TellusR is now becoming an integrated core component of WebSak’s new AI platform.
This means municipalities no longer need to export sensitive information out of their secure systems to benefit from AI. Instead, AI capability is moved safely behind the administration’s own firewalls, entirely independent of which global language models they wish to use in the future.
TellusR as a key piece in achieving AI goals
We are incredibly proud to be chosen by ACOS, and humbled that we will become a central part of the AI architecture in the public sector for years to come. Case systems are the backbone of the public sector. That TellusR is now part of this critical infrastructure, and that together with ACOS we contribute to creating real gains in public Norway through the use of AI, feels amazing.
Prepared for strict requirements in the new AI Act
As the EU’s new AI Act now comes into force, strict requirements are placed on transparency, traceability and responsible use of AI in the public sector. WebSak’s new AI platform is built specifically to meet these frameworks, with TellusR as a central component.
We make it possible for our customers to realise the actual gains of AI within entirely safe frameworks. All use of AI in WebSak becomes transparent and traceable over time.
He explains that the solution prepares organisations to answer three decisive questions clearly from citizens, regulators and the press:
This is the very foundation for responsible public case handling that withstands today’s and tomorrow’s legal requirements, Refvik emphasises.
By combining ACOS’s deep domain knowledge in public administration with TellusR’s independent AI architecture, public-sector organisations now get a tool that is powerful, verifiable and future-proof.
